The Cyprus-based company Christis Dairies Ltd. started out in 1961 as a milk pasteurisation and bottling company. To expand its production range, the company has upgraded its new production centre – including the cheese production department – with technologies that guarantee to customers high quality standards for their products. In order to face the demand of milk and other dairy products, 50% of which are for export, in the beginning of 2005 the company signed an agreement with Procomac for the supply of a complete line for bottling fresh milk in PET bottles. The line integrates: conveyors for bottles loaded in bulk; unscrambler Topstar S 20/30; Convair 2000 air conveyor to supply the rinsing-filling bloc consisting of one Gripstar 1R washing machine and one HAL SFL-PET gravity filler. Specifically designed for milk, this filelr reaches a nominal speed of 4000 bottles/h on the base of 1.5 litre bottles. However, it can handle also 0.5 and 0.25 litre bottles, and can be equipped with conveyors for full bottles and bundles.
