Established in 1980, GEA Process Engineering South Africa is an independent subsidiary of GEA Process Engineering, Denmark, and part of the global GEA Group.

Originally established by the Morini family in Northern Italy in 1979, but part of the GEA Process Engineering division since 2007, GEA Procomac is integral to the company’s total service offering. Considered a leading developer of, filling equipments, manufactures, installs and services complete aseptic and traditional filling lines from raw materials to packaged juices, sports drinks, teas and infusions, milk, carbonated soft drinks, water and more.
Previously concentrated in Europe, US and China, its technologies are now available to the local industry and Roger Gallow has joined GEA as new business development manager, to head up GEA Procomac South Africa. Through Roger, customers will be able to receive specialised advice and support on all customised and complete lines, including GEA Procomac’s all-new Aseptic Blow Filling (ABF) system, designed to meet advanced filing and packing needs.
Roger comes to GEA Process Engineering with an in-depth knowledge of the PET packaging industry and market trends. «Today, aseptic filling is considered the most advanced technology to fill premium segment beverages at high speeds, and GEA Procomac is right up there as one of the best», confirms Roger. «To grow and diversify GEA Procomac successfully in South Africa we have to constantly update customers with comprehensive information on GEA Procomac’s capabilities and new developments», Roger continues. «For example, installing the right aseptic filling line requires a substantial technology investment, so customers want to know that they’re making the right equipment choice. Partnering with them from the planning phase and being able to offer flexible solutions that suit their needs and budget is critical», he explains.
Since joining GEA in October, Roger has been based at GEA Procomac’s head office in Parma, embracing the company culture and learning more about its modern technologies.
