GEA Procomac S.p.A. is based at Sala Baganza near Parma and manufactures bottling plants. The company was established in 1979 on the initiative of some technicians with wide experience in the bottling field.
Procomac started its activity manufacturing rinsers and conveyors; then, over a period of a few years, Procomac developed its technology and enlarged its production program. Since 1990 Procomac has been supplying complete lines to meet all bottling needs all over the world.
In 1996, the Procomac Aseptic Division was set up to control Procomac technology in the aseptic filling sector: the first aseptic Procomac line was installed in 1993, and since then Procomac has offered the market new technologies that have been adopted by the most important bottling companies in the world.
In April 2007 Procomac joined GEA Group Aktiengesellschaft
, an international technology group that focuses on specialty mechanical engineering - especially process engineering and equipment - and plant engineering.
GEA Procomac has always considered its R&D activities to be essential to ensure its position as a technology leader. Thanks to the continuous research, GEA Procomac has presented in 2010 ABF (Aseptic Blow Fill) System
, the world’s first rotary aseptic blow moulding machine with an integrated aseptic filler and capper.
The key to the continued growth of GEA Procomac is to be found in the company’s attention to the needs of the client. Procomac joins its own technology and machine reliability with a flexibility which allows "customised" solutions to be proposed for the most diverse needs, ranging from individual machines to complete "turnkey" lines.
GEA Procomac serves a number of major beverage and food multinationals, including Coca-Cola, Danone, Nestlè and PepsiCo., the majority of Italian water and beverage producers and several Chinese key companies.
GEA Procomac S.p.A. overall turnover for 2011 total about 135 million Euro, 80% due to foreign sales. GEA Procomac S.p.A. has a total covered area of 48,000 square metres and a workforce of more than 420 people. Its sales network features more than 60 sales branches, sales offices and representants all over the world.
