Procomac cooperation with Coca-Cola continues: after the aseptic filling line installed at Norbega in Bilbao, Spain, Procomac has been chosen to supply a rinsing/filling/capping bloc for mineral water in 0.5 and 1.5 l. PET bottles to Coca-Cola Icecek (CCI), the only local authorised bottler for the Eurasian market.
the headquarters of Coca-Cola Icecek are located in Istanbul, and the company has five production facilities all over Turkey with a total production capability of over 375 million cases. The bloc will be installed at Mahmudiye production facility; it features a rotary 1-treatment Gripstar ACE rinser and a gravity filler Fillstar SF.
Gripstar ACE rinser, thanks to its neck handling system, features a shot changeover time: bottle pads can be replaced without tools.
Moreover, Gripstar ACE treatment times is easily set directly from the control panel according to each different container; in this way it is possible to optimise water consumption.
Procomac Fillstar SF gravity filler for still liquids features a simple filling head structure, with a mobile lower part moved by the bottle neck that starts and ends the filling cycle.
The very simple structure accounts for a perfect closed loop CIP with dummy bottles, either following product flow or in counter current flow.
Hygiene of the bloc is kept thanks to an overpressure of sterile air by HEPA filters deployed to produce a laminar flow of sterile air over the path of bottles. The bloc supplied to CCI is designed for a nominal speed of 21,000 bottles/hour.
