The next edition of drinktec will be the occasion to present the “INSIDE ASEPTIC” guided path through the latest aseptic technologies with a particular focus on containers and caps sterilization.
GEA Procomac has recently developed the 5th generation of wet PAA based aseptic filling bloc, the ECOSpin. Consumption and investment cost optimization are the main advantages of this evolution of the of Unibloc Spin system, thanks to a considerable reduction in rinsing time and in footprint. The PAA (peracetic acid) bottle sterilization unit of ECOSpin will be on display.
GEA Procomac will also introduce the HP aseptic system, a VHP (vaporized hydrogen peroxide) sterilization system that has been developed as an alternative to PAA for dedicated applications. HP aseptic system consists of three different phases: after a heating treatment, bottles are sterilized with VHP in the HPSTAR V sterilizer, and then rinsed with sterile air; the three carousels (bottle heater, VHP sterilizer and air rinser) are placed within an innovative mini isolator which enables a dramatic reduction of critical area volume.
HPSTAR V will be on display, along with Sterilbeam, the new GEA Procomac energy based caps’ sterilizer, suitable for both flat and sport caps: going beyond the chemical age, it uses simple electron emitters to produce electrons and focus into beams which are directed to caps surfaces. Very short treatment times (measurable in terms of milliseconds) are needed to achieve high killing rates for bacteria, moulds and yeasts.
The first edition of “Inside Aseptic” guide will be at disposal of the visitors who want to increase their own knowledge about aseptic technology and investigate the future market challenges, in order to be able to anticipate and turn them into a successful business.
GEA Procomac Packaging, packaging division of GEA Procomac, will be also present on the stand with Polaris, a layer preparation system for shrink-wraps, cartons and trays for medium to high speed production. Polaris is a tailored system with a compact design for easy transportation, which features gentle handling of the packages during rotations and translations: total absence of shocks during pack positioning makes it suitable for any type of pack, even fragile and unstable.
