GEA Procomac aseptic technology
Sport drinks in PET containers filled using aseptic processing systems are
becoming increasingly popular. The adoption of cold aseptic technology allows
filling in convenientely shaped, 'easy grip' bottles. Moreover, special 'drink
through' caps are used to allow consumption on the move.
GEA Procomac microbiological isolator technology is used on the bloc that
sterilizes rinses and fills. This achieves strict quality control in the
working environment and ensures an easy line management for operators, and
avoids the need for plant operators to use a dedicated ‘clean room’.
Every step in the chain of events that occur on the aseptic filling process
is monitored for maximum security. GEA Procomac designs, manufactures and
supplies only the highest quality process machines that are needed for
utilities, sterile water and sterilizing solution management. Product
preparation (e.g. syrup rooms) and end-of-line equipment can be supplied on a
‘turnkey’ basis. This achieves perfect integration of the key line components
and ensures a smooth operation for the whole process.
GEA Procomac’s turnkey aseptic line performance is guaranteed. The maximum
defectiveness rate on the final product is very low: 1 in 100000 bottles for
sport drinks.
The final product quality is superior to other technologies; moreover, all
components that come into contact with the product have bben optimised for
extended reliability also when filling products with a high mineral content
such as sport drinks.
