The three "Baltic Tigers" (Vilnius, Riga, Tallin) feature high growth rates
and are leading the development of Eastern Europe economy, whereas the Russian
Market is still an emerging market with ample market growth possibilities. In
the beverage sector high growth is being monitored not only in Moscow and St.
Petersbourg, but also in new emerging regions that, although peripheral, are
quite interesting from an economic point of view.
In the mineral water
sector big corporations like Coca-Cola, Pepsico and Nestlé are leading the
list; nevertheless local bottlers are growing rapidly and are pushing the
market growth.
One of these local bottlers is Edelweiss
L., a company within Gazprom group based in south-eastern Lipetsk
region. They are following an expansion plan to push their growth. The project
is base on the commercial launch of a new brand for bottled water besides other
two brands of the company ("Lipetskaya 12" and "Baderovskaya"); a new line has
been commissioned to Procomac to bottle the new product. The line is base on an
integrated blow-fill Synchro system at high speed, the first one by Sipa and
Procomac supplied to the Russian market. This Synchro unit is composed by a
SIPA SFR 12 moulds blow-moulder and a rotary counterpressure mechanical filler
Fillstar PET 2.
Easy maintenance is one of the key features of the line:
the adoption of simple mechanical design allows an easy access to maintenance
components. Procomac supply also includes a Unisat B water carbonator for the
automatic production of carbonated water. It is designed for high deaeration
and carbonation efficiency with reduced footprint and low energy and CO2
consumption.
The line reaches a production speed of 20,400 0,5 and 1,5 l.
PET bottles per hour.
Considering that Russian companies are selecting
European companies almost exclusively for their bottling projects, it is
important to underline that Procomac has been chosen for this particular
project for its experience and the quality of its products.
